Not exactly new, but new enough that I know nothing about how to “work it” into my marketing.

I don’t know about you, but there aren’t enough hours in a day. You just get in to a rhythm, have your regular schedule of daily stuff to do, and try to fit time in to keep up to date with the new SEO strategies and games.

Regularly visiting various forums and blogs is part of the routine, to make sure that I don’t miss out on anything. That’s how I became a member of Google+ a few months back … but have I done much with it since joining … well, no – life got in the way. Sorry, but haven’t had the time to learn what I’m supposed to do next.

So, when Google PLUS Exposed came on to my radar, I was interested. A short cut! Yeah! I love short cuts. Let someone else do all the digging around and put all the info I want in to a report – Thankyou!

Infact, liked so much, bought the rights to it. Can’t give it away (against the rights I have), but you can pick it up for only $5 which is going to be a lot cheaper than most other people.

Of course, you could just spend some hours reading up on forums and blogs …

Here you go: <a

With that in mind, there is no excuse for not doing the work needed to make your site more responsive.

The first thing you need to do before tweaking things to increase your site speed is to first find the loading time of your pages. You can do this easily using Google Analytics and checking the average page load time. Of course you’ll need to insert Google Analytic’s snippet for tracking page load time in order to get the required data. Finding out which of your pages are lagging in terms of page load times will help you use your time more wisely since you know which ones have issues that need addressing at once.

Once you find out which pages have problematic loading times, you can use Google’s Page Speed Tools to find out exactly what you can do to optimize your page. You can either use the Page Speed tool as a browser extension, or use the Page Speed Online tool, which is a web-based tool. You will be given a Page Speed Score (perfect score of 100), which indicates not the loading time of the page, but how much room for improvement there is in terms of following best practices related to page speed. The good thing about these tools is that they will point out which of the best practices the page you’re having analysed have yet to follow so as to reduce page load time. Suggestions for improvement are categorized according to priority so that you will know which issue to tackle first. Clicking on each suggestion will give you a brief explanation of how following that suggestion will improve your site speed, and will also give a detailed list of all pages affected by the oversight. Best practices pointed out range from serving scaled images to preferring asynchronous resources.

Once you do know what needs to be done in order to improve your site’s speed, all you need to do is just carry out the suggestions where possible. If you are just getting started with search engine optimization and do not understand most of the suggestions, don’t get daunted by the jargon. A little research will help you a lot since a lot of the suggestions are actually quite easy to implement. However, for suggestions that are really quite too technical for you, then just go ahead and enlist the help of a developer.

Another way you can make life a bit easier for you is to sign up for Google’s Page Speed Service. Unfortunately, signing up won’t guarantee that you will indeed be able to enjoy the service since it is still in a period of limited availability, but if you do get approved for this service you can rest knowing that Google’s doing all the hard work for you to ensure fast loading times.

Good luck!

Vic Carrara<br

If your website is fairly new, then in all likelihood the reason why your site isn’t appearing in Google’s SERPs is the first one. To check if your site has already been indexed by Google, do a site search. To do a site search, all you need to is type “site:<your site’s URL>” (i.e. site:example.com). When doing a site search, note that there shouldn’t be a space between site: and your URL. If your site comes up in Google search results, then you can rest knowing that your site is already indexed. However, that doesn’t mean that you will be ranking that well for your target keywords/search terms at once, especially if they are highly competitive terms. Still, at least you know that you’re on the right path with your SEO campaign.

If your site does not appear in Google’s SERPs when you do the site search, this obviously means that your site hasn’t been indexed yet. You can solve this problem easily by using the Webmaster Submit URL Tool so that Google can easily find your page during their next crawl. You don’t have to wait for months for this since crawls are done quite frequently. Note though that Google does not guarantee that all submit URLs will be crawled nor indexed. There’s nothing really to worry about though, because in reality most URLs submitted are actually crawled and indexed.

Even if you do submit your URL already, Google suggests that you also submit an XML sitemap to help them find the rest of the pages on your website. This will also help them not just indexed all your pages, but determine the relevance of each page’s content in relation to the rest of the site’s contents and keywords.

If your website has been around for some time now, and once appeared in Google’s SERPs but seem to have mysteriously disappeared from the index, then your site might have been manually removed from the index for violations. If you are also still indexed but your ranking has plunged suddenly, then you should also check whether you have violated Google’s guidelines or are suffering from a malware attack on your site that you are unaware of. Once you determine the cause of your problem, you can fix the issues then submit a request to Google for reconsideration. Note that reconsideration requests are evaluated manually and so take a lot longer (weeks) to process than simple URL submissions. Do not even attempt to submit your URL via the submit URL tool in hopes of a shortcut for getting re-indexed because your site is already blocked. You can also expect Google to contact you for evidence of good faith before they add back your site.

Good luck!

Vic Carrara<br

If you have websites that still do not have mobile versions, now is definitely the time to develop and launch one.

If you do decide to pour in your resources to tapping into the mobile market though, it would be wise to know just what you are getting into. A good guide to help you develop your mobile online strategy is Yahoo’s study on “Mobile Modes”, which was published only this August. The study reveals a lot about how mobile users use the Internet on their mobile devices, from the percentage of time devoted to a specific activity to the hours during which ad recall is at its peak.

To help get you started, here’s some of the advice given by Yahoo! given what they learned:

Be part of the growth – The mobile web is growing exponentially so there is much opportunity that shouldn’t be missed. They also revealed that mobile users are still unsatisfied with their current mobile sites, which means you still have a chance to wow them and connect with a well-developed mobile site.

Pick high traffic content -
News, sports, and entertainment are the most in demand type of content among mobile users. So while your business might not be entirely related to these fields, find a way to insert these content to your site to attract more mobile users.

Ad recall is strongest in the morning – That said, find ways to optimize your site to target morning mobile users.

Optimize mobile Ads by mode – Do read more about the different mobile modes to understand how to leverage your site better. Remember that the modes reflect what the mobile users actually do on their mobile devices, so taking mobile modes into account when developing your mobile marketing strategy will help you get higher conversion rates.

And last but not least (even if Yahoo! did not mention this), make sure you test your mobile site and continuously monitor its performance. Since the mobile industry, including the mobile web, evolves really fast, you should adapt to changes quickly, or even better, strive to be one of the innovators.

Vic Carrara<br

The reason I am saying white hat is because there are far too many firms and individuals building links in the wrong way. Taking the shortcut to link building will hurt the websites ranking structure and it will only give you short term benefits. The concept of link building is simply to get websites to link to your website. However, there is a certain strategy and requirement you have to follow in order to make it beneficial. Not all link building techniques bring in great value, as some could sabotage your websites reputation.

Non-reciprocal Links:
This is where a website would link to you, but you wouldn’t link back. This type of link building is the most powerful, and it is known as one way link building. Now, you can’t just get any website to link to you. When optimizing websites for search engines, we usually just keep Google in mind, as it is the one that is used most often. In terms of Google, it is important to have all your back links related to your niche. If your website is about beauty products; then your back links should be beauty product related websites. Having links from bad neighbourhood sites like adult sites is bad idea, as it could hurt your rankings.

Google has its own reputation scale known as PR (Page Rank). The PR scale ranges from 0 to 10, and is given based on a number of factors. The largest criterion that is taken into account is the strength of your back links. The stronger your back links, the better chance of achieving a higher PR.

Article Marketing:
This is a very good strategy to use if you want to build links from pages with content that is related to your webpage. Article marketing can be a cost-efficient way to build links on hundreds of websites. The idea behind it is very simple, as you will just need quality content and some well-known article directories. There are several high quality article directories which have their pages indexed within minutes of being published. If you can manage to publish your article to the top article directories, you could get some quality in-content back links. If you don’t have the time to do it on your own, you can hire SEO firms to do it for you.

Forum Posting:
As the intro says, this is simply posting on forums. The only thing you have to remember is that you have to place your links in your signature. Some forums require you to be a member for a certain number of days before you can add links. When choosing forums to sign up on, make sure to search for forums that are in your niche. Relevant back links are the strongest you can find without having to pay. When posting, make sure you are helping the community out, so that they will be willing to check out your links as well.

Good luck!

Vic Carrara<br

With a little research and practice most people can learn and implement the basic steps. If you are serious about your business and your income potential you should not rely on the basics that you picked up here and there. Depending on your niche it may be quite difficult to get your website on the first page of the search engine results and since this is where you want to be to beat out your competitors you need to rely on a professional firm to get results. Done right, the money that you spend on search engine optimization will pay off many times over in the long run.

Below are four important reasons that you should leave your SEO in the capable hands of the professionals.

It Is Cost Effective

Although it may seem like you’re saving money when you do your search engine optimization yourself it could be the complete opposite. The time that you invest in trial and error could cost you a lot more in the long run. In fact, your lack of knowledge could possibly do more harm than good and you may have to pay to repair those costly mistakes. Hiring a firm who knows what they are doing will cost you significantly less than the time that you invest to do it yourself.

Have Your SEO Completed On Schedule

The sooner that you get your site properly optimized and climbing up the search results the sooner you will be able to reap the benefits of increased traffic. When you retain the services of a professional firm you will be able to get the job done in a reasonable timeframe with a detailed report included.

It Frees You Up To Focus On Your Core Business

As a small business owner you may be tempted to save money by completing every little and big task on your own. While this may be effective for some areas it is not advised for SEO. To gain that edge over your competitors you need all the help that you can get so leave it in the hands of the professionals and focus on building and improving your core business so that you will be prepared when your new customers come in.

You Cannot Beat Experience

When you outsource your SEO you will gain the experience of the entire team of professionals at that firm. This is a guarantee that you will succeed. Search engine optimization is forever changing and the professionals in the field know exactly how to adjust to the constant changes. By choosing a well qualified team you will ensure that your site not only gets to the top but also stay there. This is very important when you make an investment in SEO.

I’ve provided four great reasons to outsource your SEO and hopefully you will see that the benefits of doing so far outweigh the costs. If you are strapped for time or a novice to SEO then it is a wise decision to hire a firm that could take your business to the top!

Vic Carrara<br

The examples are all around us.

It hits human nature right in that “greed pouch”, and marketers have used it ever since advertising began (and probably before that!).

You have to be careful though. Over the last few years, regulatory authorities in many countries have started to crack down on the misleading use of this powerful word.

To be free, well, it has to be free – gratis, no catches, no payment, nothing. Unfortunately some unscrupulous marketers have added conditions to “free”, making it not free, but conditional. It’s just as well then that there are now laws that govern how this word can be used – so be careful!

Even some consumers are now wary, after bad publicity with health supplement “free trials”, and offers which have the small print “free on condition …”

Saying though, human nature is human nature, and using that word in a headline still packs a powerful punch.

So, if you can genuinely offer something for free – do it. It WILL increase sales / conversions / signups.

Obviously, whatever you offer has to be relevant and be of good quality. After all, you want people to come back to you to buy more stuff.

Lately I’ve been on the hunt for some products that I can offer free as bonuses, can use in exchange for sign-ups (Sign-up now and get this great …), and make mini websites around them … and I found just thing.

The two great things are the price (not free, but very low – $9.95), and the fact that I can rebrand all of them with my own website details. So, there’s no sending any of my hard earned customers to someone else.

What am I talking about exactly? Something that is growing in popularity every day – eBooks. 89 of them to be exact, ALL with completely unrestricted rights.

Unrestricted rights means that these eBooks can be:

Can be edited.

Can have your name as the author.

Can be broken down into articles.

Can be used as web or ezine content.

Can be added into membership sites.

Can be sold in any format.

Can be packaged.

Can be offered as a bonus.

Can be given away (in any format).

Can be sold on auction sites.

Can offer (Master) Resell Rights.

Can resell Private Label Rights.

Can be published offline.

That covers everything. You can do whatever you want with these. Plus, they cover a whole range of subjects including:

Internet marketing.

Affiliate marketing.

List Building;

Self-esteem.

Fishing.

Green lifestyles.

And more.

Rather than list them all here, go visit the sales page (which you get a copy of yourself once you buy), here: Unrestricted PLR eBooks.

Give the page some time to load, as there are 89 eBook covers to load! (Yes, you get those as well).

For just $9.95 you get bonuses, incentives, give-aways for loads of different niches, as well as enough to build some mini-websites around if you want to – all branded with your website details.

Keep your customers to yourself!

Enjoy!

Vic Carrara<br

Promoting here, I have it as a separately on http://www.2kscript.com, using the site as a demo of the script itself.

Prior to promoting this script I used to promote another script that became obsolete. When that happened, traffic halved. I never promoted the site, but when the translations failed, traffic simply halved.
Then I added the new translation script, and traffic more than doubled. Work it out … one language: XXX traffic – more languages: traffic more than doubled.

Along with the traffic increase, sales increased as people (English and non-English speaking) bought the script.
The plain simple truth is that the web is NOT exclusively English speaking, and if you are not using translation scripts on appropriate sites you lose sales.

BUT, more importantly, using translation scripts that cache (keep) the translations on the site, boosts your website’s standing. Whereas before you had one page in English, if you translate in to ten languages, you now have eleven pages.

Here’s proof: Go to Google and type in “site:2kscript.com”. Look at the results. Google has indexed all the translated pages. The site only has 3 real pages, index, contact, sitemap … yet Google has 678 (when I checked) indexed pages. This site has had it’s presence dramatically boosted by one simple script.

Whether you go for the script I promote or another, this is a really simple way of boosting your traffic and standing.

Good luck!

Vic Carrara<br

Having a website built and running months before a niche or sub-niche gets hot counts for so much, and can help see off all the newer more monied sites with all their investment in SEO.

Several of my sites are in the health niche, in very competitive areas. As they were established many months before the competition, they’ve held their positions on search results. This is despite the “opposition” looking as if they’ve spent loads on SEO – I’ve still kept my top of page one rankings.

Getting in to those niches was a bit of inside knowledge and luck. For ever site that’s got to page one, two haven’t. But, the profits of those one in three sites far outweigh any loss in setting up the other two.

The problem is we don’t all have inside knowledge, and the money to invest in buying domains and throwing up sites, in the hope that some will stick.

This is where a new tool, nothing like I’ve seen before, comes in.

Imagine if you could get to hear of the next hot trend, in whatever niche you want, weeks, months before even Google sees it. Do you think getting in first, buying a decent domain name that isn’t hyphenated, is a .com, is short, will help? Get some content on that domain, host it, do a small bit of backlinking, and a couple of months later have a page one site for that niche. Looks good?

Well, this software was just released in June 2011, and having tried it out, I have to say it’s helping me spot niches and trends I couldn’t have done before.

Simply, you give the software RSS feeds from the top news sources for your niche. Then, the software drills through those feeds to spot trends.

Here’s a video from the developer:

With these tool you can discover at the minimum some valuable domain names that you can flip in a few months. Or, develop some yourself and either flip some valuable and hot web sites or keep for yourself as another income stream.

Knowing these trends also means you can get your articles and blog posts out, ready indexed for when the rest of the world discover what you already know!

You can find out more here: <a

But know this, I only promote stuff I use or really believe in.

Enjoy!

Vic Carrara<br
